2024 Vintage

2024 Riesling aligns with the most fundamental qualities of Nova Scotia wines: refreshing, energized by natural acidity, and, more importantly, an ageing ability measured in decades. Created in the light, off-dry style of German Kabinett wines, this new vintage is one to try. Often praised as a favourite for many wine enthusiasts, Riesling is a highly-aromatic, cool-climate-loving, ever-versatile variety known for producing a wide array of wine styles and pairing with just about any fare. 

In the glass, this vintage reveals a luminous pale gold with a glimmering green highlight. The nose opens with vibrant aromas of lime zest and sea breeze, layered with wildflower honey, chamomile, and a wide variety of meadow herbs. Subtle hints of boxwood, elderflower, and blackcurrant blossom mingle with a chalky, stony undertow and a delicate vegetal fragrance, while fermentation notes add an early-stage lift. On the palate, an energetic burst of citrus unfolds with concentrated intensity, carrying through zesty lime, crisp green apple, and bittersweet herbal nuances. A faintly oily texture supports flavours of white peach and citrus. The finish is long and vibrant, marked by invigorating acidity.
