Every year the Province of Nova Scotia presents the City of Boston with its official Christmas Tree. This tree is a 'thank you' to the people of Boston for their quick aid after the devastating Halifax Explosion on December 6, 1917.

As a tribute to this tradition and the deep bond between our two regions, Big Spruce has brewed a  Bourbon-Barrel-Aged Imperial Nordic Stout and added a hint of spruce tips, for good measure.

The extended rest in American Bourbon barrels lends a smooth warmth, yielding the way for a unique Norwegian yeast strain to hold court with subtle fruit top notes, balancing effortlessly with rich chocolate and espresso malt undertones. 

This beer is layered and complex, and utterly flawless in execution.
